(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, May 28, 2015 ) London, UK -- Production of the next incarnation of the Apple iPhone could be set for mid-to-late August this year it is being predicted. It is also being claimed that the new generation will be a continuation of the successful iPhone 6 range, under the title iPhone 6S.
These predictions have been made by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities. They are being taken seriously as Kuo has proved to have had a good insight into developments ahead of previous Apple launches.
It is being suggested that the iPhone 6S and the larger iPhone 6S Plus will have the same screen sizes as the current iPhone 6 range – 4.7in and 5.5in. However, there will be new features to entice customers to part with their hard-earned cash.
A spokesperson for Boom Products, who produce the best-selling Shock-2 Hybrid Protection Case* for the iPhone 6 range, said: "The prospect of a new Apple product is always exciting. It would certainly make sense for Apple to continue the traditional line with a likely 6S and 6S Plus but maybe also to offer an entry level device to replace the 5C with a smaller screen size than the 6. Along with all the other users around the world we are eagerly awaiting an official announcement."
A major selling point for the new iPhone, Kuo predicts, will be the inclusion of Force Touch. Already built into the Apple Watch and new MacBook trackpads Force Touch is pressure sensitive display technology which gives the user more input choices and a handwritten signature facility.
It is also being suggested the iPhone 6S range will have a camera featuring a pixel upgrade, likely to be up to 12MP and voice quality will be enhanced by the addition of a microphone close to the speaker.
Kuo's predictions also point to the A9 processor adopting a 2GB LPDDR4 upgrade. The problem of bending suffered by iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus could be solved with the new model being made of stronger casing materials and changes made to the internal mechanics and design. And in a bid to promote Apple Pay designers will be seeking to improve the new device's Touch ID recognition rate.
A new colour is also likely to be added to the new range; Rose Gold which is already available for Apple Watch wearers.
