Is It SEO or SE-Uh-Oh?

(IT-NEWSWIRE.COM, February 27, 2015 ) Lake Worth, Florida - It’s like when a little kid drops something and goes uh-oh, it automatically stops a parent and makes them think what the heck just happened. Most of the time it’s just spilled milk, which is easy to clean, and then the parent can put a cover on the bottle of milk and go back to what they were doing.

This isn’t so much different than search engine optimization these days, part of which from what I am hearing at business network meetings. We recently spoke to a local real estate agent who was telling us how difficult it was to work with people overseas, and how much they messed up his search engine optimization. I automatically understood this, as for anyone that has visited these countries, it is easy to understand.

This also led me to think about how simple it is to clean up poor search engine optimization, and help these business owners understand how much quality SEO can actually help their business, and how it doesn’t have to be an “uh-oh” experience at all.

It begins with site structure, as many may believe the design has everything to do with user experience. While this is partially true, if the site provides little to no information, how can a person learn about your business? With the proper structure, it is rather easy to set your website up for future growth. We don’t often see adults crying over spilled milk after all.

Once the structure of a website is setup, this makes it a whole lot easier to link each of these pages, and expand upon specific subjects within a website. This is a few of the major factors that Google and Bing look at when they crawl a website, as such, when pages on a website are continuously growing and changing, these search engine spiders will have no choice but to notice.

According to Cannonball Advertising Firm President, Matthew Meyers, “Search Engine Optimization really does have the ability to affect businesses of any size, it is just unfortunate that many business owners have had a bad experience.”

While this is simply one example of how SEO doesn’t need to mean SE-Uh-Oh for small business owners, it really comes down to the person or company you are selecting to create and maintain your website.
